　　狐狸陶德和猎犬库伯是一对非常要好的朋友，每当库伯觉得自己一无是处的时候，陶德总会鼓励它重拾信心。后来一个猎狗表演团的主唱离开了，声音条件非常好的库伯得到了重用。然而随着库伯越来越走红，陶德开始心怀妒忌，觉得自己被忽视了，两个动物之间的友谊岌岌可危……

　　本片是迪斯尼动画【狐狸与猎狗】的续集，但内容其实是回到狐狸 Tod 与猎狗 Copper 小时候的一段故事，当时 Tod 与 Copper 已经成为十分要好的朋友，但此时却有一个由猎狗组合成的表演团来到此地，这让小猎狗Copper 简直乐翻天，认识了许多跟自己同类的狗朋友，但是 Copper 怎么可能告诉他的新朋友关于自己有个死党小狐狸 的事呢？毕竟狐狸跟猎狗是天生的死对头啊！面对这样的情况，Tod 和 Copper 的这段友谊因此受到考验。
