　　影片注视着一个四岁的小孩皮里科在母亲尼娜为了情人罗贝特离开丈夫安德烈之后陷入苦恼之中的故事。皮里科先是被送到阿姨家，再到祖母那边。当他生病时母亲尼娜赶回来，在情人罗贝特还是要坚持见她的情况下，发誓要与他一刀两断。家庭情况逐渐好转，直到全家人前往意大利里维埃拉胜地度假时，事情才出现变故。
