　　拉蒂夫·亚希艾（多米尼克·库珀 Dominic Cooper 饰）是战斗在伊拉克战争前线的一名士兵，然而来自总统萨达姆的一纸诏令改变了他战场生活。拉蒂夫被召集到总统家族中，却并非担任什么保镖角色，而是要他充当总统的儿子乌代·侯赛因的替身。众所周知，乌代作风恶劣，心狠手辣，生活纸醉金迷，酒池肉林。拉蒂夫本想拒绝这个荒诞的要求，却可能将自己与家人陷入危险。无奈之下，对乌代热衷的香车美女、毒品暴力丝毫不感兴趣的拉蒂夫不得不妥协，艰难而小心翼翼地当起乌代的替身，过着他酒池肉林的生活,也渐渐与乌代的女仆人萨拉巴（露迪芬·莎妮 Ludivine Sagnier 饰）结下友谊。然而在相处过程中，拉蒂夫却发现萨拉巴的仆人身份背后似乎另有隐情……
