6 R# h. y4 R" j2 f6 D5 rMike and Dave Need Wedding Dates is presented on 4K UHD courtesy of 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment with an HEVC / H.265 encoded 2160p transfer in 2.39:1.  I was a little surprised that detail levels weren't more noticeably prevalent in this version than on the 1080p Blu-ray, and also found it at least a little surprising that some of the flesh tones look a bit sallow in this version.  The opening half hour or so of the film simply doesn't offer much in the way of "wow" visuals in any case, but once the film gets to Hawaii, HDR offers some vibrant new nuance in things like the dresses the girls first appear in at the poolside party.  Some relatively minor aspects like the blue wallpaper in the hotel have a much more palpable seeming texture in this version.  The SUV sequence offers marginally better depth of field now, and the foliage is better resolved.  Some of the late night sequences have increased shadow definition as well, but generally speaking, this is not a gigantic upgrade over the 1080p Blu-ray viewing experience.
