! e3 I8 t' E# }8 n2 [4 _5 h; P1 A# f　　随着科技的不断发展，人类赖以生存的地球却受到越来越严重的污染和威胁。某天，一架巨大的飞碟出现在地球上空，引起各国民众一片恐慌，谁也不知道这个不速之客将对他们的命运带来怎样的影响。飞碟最终降落在美国华盛顿公园的中央，当地警察和军队倾巢出动。飞碟被全副武装的军人和好奇的民众团团围住，经过两个小时的对峙，悬梯从飞碟中缓缓探出。随着舱门的打开，一个身形与人类别无二致的外星人克拉图（Michael Rennie 饰）和全身金属的机器人出现在众人面前。这两个外星人似乎为了地球的命运而来，他们表示出友好，却未得到应有的回报……
