　　因家乡年景不好，青年郑潮安（李小龙 饰）跟随三叔远赴泰国，郑在当地华工许剑（田俊 饰）的帮助下，得到了一份冰厂的工作。许剑为人仗义好打抱不平，时常卷入争斗，郑潮安虽也学得一身功夫，但碍于母亲的劝诫不能出手。华工们工作的这家冰厂为牟取利益，在冰中藏匿毒品贩运，不久，两名华工因为偶然拾到了冰中的毒品，被厂长和老板杀害，许剑向老板要人，反被对方派众打手于家中残忍杀害。工友们寻找失踪的华工和许剑无获，于是罢工抗议，厂长和监工们痛打工人，郑潮安仗义出手，厂长畏惧升其为领导，众工人称呼郑为“唐山大兄”。老板方面见笼络郑潮安不成，杀害了所有华工，郑潮安冲到老板家中，欲令其血债血偿……
