　　面对游移不定的两名天使，上帝和撒旦都感到十分愤怒，他们决定惩罚两人。其中，丹尼尔（杰瑞米·艾文 Jeremy Irvine 饰）变成了拥有永生的灵魂的17岁高中生，而露西（艾迪生·蒂姆林 Addison Timlin 饰）则是注定要在十七岁死去的少女。两人的感情纠葛了一世又一世，丹尼尔始终无法改变命运的走向，但他也始终没有放弃。
