　　跟1987年的电影一样，剧版的《Dirty Dancing》背景依旧设置在上世纪六十年代，讲述了天真的年轻女孩Baby（Breslin饰）在跟随父母和妹妹到Catskill Mountains度假，爱上了她的舞蹈教练。原版电影中由Grey饰演这个角色。

　　Allison Shearmur以及原电影的编剧Eleanor Bergstein担任本剧执行制作人，剧版剧本由Jessica Sharzer执笔，由Wayne Blair执导，由热门百老汇音乐剧《Hamilton》编舞大师、托尼奖得主Andy Blankenbuehler编舞。
