　　Nemo, an adventurous young clownfish, is unexpectedly taken from his Great Barrier Reef home to a dentist’s office aquarium in Sydney, Australia. It’s up to his worrisome father Marlin and a friendly but forgetful fish named Dory to bring Nemo home, meeting vegetarian sharks, surfer dude turtles, hypnotic jellyfish, hungry seagulls, and more along the way.

Finding Nemo 4K Blu-ray, Video Quality

: M6 u  Y* F2 k$ PIt's not much of a surprise that the HDR color enhancement is the greatest and most readily obvious visual improvement to be found on the UHD disc. The film is abundantly colorful, and with every underwater scene there's endless opportunity for the HDR colors to show off. Obviously Nemo and Marlin's orange color is the primary highlight, but take a look at Dory blue and the multitude of variously colored fish under the water. Nearly every tone one can imagine is to be found somewhere in the movie, and if not on a fish then on the abundance of coral, and if not underwater then in some of the areas around where Nemo is being kept captive. HDR brings a fresh feel for color depth and vitality to the image. It's not a radical transformation over the Blu-ray, but there's an unmistakable addition to pure brilliance and pop. It might not be quite so robust as The Good Dinosaur but this is a very smart, well-rounded HDR spectrum that perfectly compliments the movie.

The 2160p resolution adds a minute level of clarity. The picture feels a little sharper, shinier, more dimensional as a result. Fine details are not astronomically more crisp and clear, but viewers will appreciate the added textural finesse evident on corals, undersea terrain, and fish scales. Above the surface in the dentist's office there's a nice little feel for greater image command. This is not a reinvention of Pixar's original wheel, but the extra resolution does help to squeeze out every last bit of visual robustness that appears inherent to the original animation. The UHD exhibits no problems with banding or aliasing or other encode issues. It's a solid upgrade, particularly in the HDR arena.

The Dolby Atmos soundtrack delivers a pleasing sonic yield that proves completely immersive and enjoyably detailed throughout. When Nemo excitedly zips around in anticipation of his first day of school, the sound seamlessly traverses around the listener with fluid, flawless maneuverability. The sense of underwater depth is palpable in many shots, whether in the expansive ocean or in the fish tank at the dentist's office. The track finds some good, weighty thrust as the boat that carries Nemo away comes to life and rushes through the water. The low end finds a fair sense of depth and detail both; there's not a significant feel for shortchanged bass with this one, whether accompanying music or sound effects, from the most prodigious moments to one-off moments like a crash against the dentist office glass in chapter 17. Musical clarity is excellent and placement is expansive. It's a joy throughout. Dialogue is clear and refined with a natural front-center placement.
