　　故事发生在一个名叫加里森的小镇中，由于镇上居住的大多数都是警察，于是人们亲切的将其成为“警察镇”。一次意外中，警官巴比奇（迈克尔·拉帕波特 Michael Rapaport 饰）误以为两个青年想要开枪向他射击，出于警察的本能，他先发制人将两人击毙。事后，巴比奇才发现，当时那两个年轻人手上拿的根本就不是枪，而是一把方向盘锁。
