　　黛西（斯碧尔·谢波德 Cybill Shepherd 饰）拥有着美丽的面孔，和当时的女人们不同，她个性独立，向往着自由与奔放。在欧洲旅游的途中，黛西结识了名叫温特伯恩（Barry Brown 饰）的年轻男子，刚见面没多久，温特伯恩便被黛西的开朗和乐观深深地吸引了，两人之间的距离越来越近。

　　不幸的是，黛西和温特伯恩之间的感情遭到了后者姑母的强烈反对，她告诉温特伯恩，黛西的风评很差，是一个轻浮又放荡的薄情女子。刚开始，被爱情冲昏了头脑的温特伯恩并不相信姑母所言，但是，当他亲眼看到黛西和陌生男子出双入对之后，他终于在绝望中选择了离开。不久之后，黛西染上了不治之症，死前，她给温特伯恩写了一封信，直到这时，温特伯恩才发现黛西心中所隐藏的，对于自己那火热而又真挚的感情。
