The current situation of applying Dolby Vision in x265 releases, seems to have
' P9 i; J2 W1 ^9 ygone totally sideways, with dupes being made and various ways to apply Dolby
/ B3 R, q9 r9 @8 _5 BVision being used by various groups.

* R/ W6 ?- R/ H# j/ R4 L+ j* aThe problem is that the current rules were written more than 2 years ago, and
back then, an attempt were made, to write some rules for Dolby Vision, that
# O; v. P2 o; _+ @& |8 a* d" C2 |# |would fit the future. It clearly hasn\'t worked.
" |* X' o+ D8 c) T" r) ~9 i
We would like to point out, that we have nothing against Dolby Vision, but we
- y9 G1 `" \7 d; ?/ afeel that the workflow should be the same by all groups, and this workflow
should, at least in generel terms, be described in the rules. This would mean
$ o# b! R3 l  ^$ G/ `that all releases would contain the same Dolby Vision, no matter which group
3 |7 T1 e" c; d7 u" q% x! Khas done the release.

0 e  P- {! @3 O$ J" nWe would like to invite the groups, to try and make a Dolby Vision addendum
to the current rules, so we can all include Dolby Vision on the same terms.
