◎简　　介

　　清朝末年，局势动荡，乱相纷现。曾经历黄花岗起义的南国革命党人铁云（黄日华饰）和志同道合的战友勇闯大漠，偷运黄金，准备购买大批军火再次起事。谁知途中遭到博尔格亲王（吕良伟饰）之爪牙满天红（倪虹洁饰）的伏击，关键时刻幸得满腔赤诚的从四品官卓知府（狄龙饰）出手相救。卓知府具有远见卓识，虽身处敌我两派，但仍将国家的命运寄托在铁云身上，安排他前往黄金峡寻找善良热情且不乏豪气的猫老板（曾志伟饰），为此甘愿陪上满门家小性命。猫老板是曾参加过义和团的勇士，由他守护的黄金峡云集了来自四面八方的仁人义士。大家不讲革命，不关心政治，在这个安宁所在过着世外桃源的生活。
