　　本片为BBC出的电视电影，是最早将原著小说《1984》搬上荧幕的影视改编版本，也是迄今为止三个影视改编版本（1954年Rudolph Cartier版，1956年Michael Anderson版，1984年Michael Radford版）里普遍评价最高的一个。

　　或许是因为出品年代久远的缘故本片在国际上长期受到忽视（许多人只知道迈克尔雷德福导演的版本），在国内更是鲜为人知。p.s.豆瓣看过的人似乎不少，但有迹象显示收藏者不乏走错房间将其当成84版收藏的糊涂人士。
