3 c% K8 n& n" Q8 s9 KKeeping Up with the Joneses is presented on 4K UHD courtesy of 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment with a 2160p transfer in 2.40:1.  The film didn't really offer a lot of visual "wow" in its 1080p presentation, and so there's relatively little uptick here, something that perhaps can also be attributed to a reported 2K DI.   I personally experienced some of the worst judder I've yet seen on a 4K UHD disc in the opening pan across the cul-de-sac before something goes "bang", with entire houses visually "echoing" in a way that couldn't be ignored.  The naturalistic palette has some incremental new tones, and the big set piece with Jeff and Tim at the Asian market partaking of poisonous fish has noticeable new shadow detail, but overall this is a relatively lackluster upgrade.  Some of the close-ups of Jeff peering out of his office window do benefit from the increased resolution, however, with elements like facial pores or the fabric of his clothing looking more precise.  The film's grain structure is generally well resolved, but I have to say after having reviewed 4K UHD releases culled from both 35mm and digital capture, that I sometimes find grain resolution on 4K UHD presentations to look a little noisy at times.
