　　故事发生在1988年的夏天，篠垣远马（菅田将晖饰）是一名普通的高中二年级男生，很早之前，母亲仁子（田中裕子饰）就因不堪忍受父亲阿円（光石研饰）的暴力而选择了离家出走，如今，渐渐长大的远马发誓永远都不要成为父亲那样的男人。

　　元马有一位青梅竹马的女友千种（木下美咲饰），在和千种相处的过程中，远马惊讶的发现，来自于父亲的暴力基因深藏在他的身体里，此刻正在蠢蠢欲动，远马知道，此时他苦苦压抑的冲动，总有一天将会全部发泄到千种的身上，而这一天并不会太远。阿円的新欢琴子（筱原友希子饰）毫不例外的同样遭受着他的暴力，身怀六甲的琴子亦选择了离家出走，远马将此事告诉了父亲，同时点燃了悲剧的导火索。
