　　消防队长云（刘青云饰）是个刻己尽责的救火队员，每当意外发生，他都要和队员赶到火场。新调来的上司（方中信饰）决心以严谨纪律重整阵容，他的苛刻要求招致一众消防员的不满。但在生活上，他们各自并不如意。上司重遇前妻，形同陌路。一心为事业的女见习队长（黄卓菱饰）也与丈夫貌合神离。云在一次现场抢救过程中，搭救了Carmen（李若彤饰）。

7 t4 \& }* k" d0 [       《十万火急》以灾难片的形式、脚踏实地的作风，真实再现了香港消防队员的生活。在灾难片的格局下写出英雄真实丰满的形象，没有做作的煽情和牺牲。本片的创作者长时间收集资料，因此上半段四场救人，下半段火灾等一次次危机的展现十分生动。人物形象也比较有特色，互相之间有许多呼应。慈云山消防局四个不同类型的消防队员，每个人背后都有一段动人的故事。《十万火急》以灾难片的形式、脚踏实地的作风，真实再现了香港消防队员的生活。本片被认为是“银河映像”集体亮相的创业作。本片是二十世纪八九年代香港电影中罕见的宏扬集体英雄主义旋律的作品。影片可见美国朗·霍华德执导的《回火》（1987）的影子，但处处体现出香港电影人的创意和专业精神。资金有限、特技简陋，而场面壮观真实、丝毫不输于好莱坞，本片叫好又叫座。
