- c+ @& z' B# }/ \# PArriving on Blu-ray from Kino Lorber, For a Few Dollars More is presented in 1080p MPEG-4 AVC encoded high definition presentation in the original theatrical aspect ratio of 2.35:1 widescreen. The restoration looks remarkable at times (and comes from a new 4K scan). Though there seems to be endless debate online regarding some color-timing selections, the video-quality looks exceptional. Crisp, clear, and dynamic. The colors are well reproduced and the cinematographic style is rather dazzling. It is hard to imagine most viewers feeling any sense of disappointment from the 4K scan.

4 q; ^0 k" {) U  l' z% nThe release includes a selection of audio options: English DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1, English DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 Stereo, and Dolby Digital Mono. The surround audio mix is questionable: occasional sound effects ring false and sound out of place with the mono elements. While it is a entertaining surround sound mix at times (especially in regards to integration of the music score), certain gun-shots and sound effects seem out-of- place and as though pulled from a different era of cinema. For this reason, I suggest viewers opt for the original mono or stereo audio options instead.
